Bakewell Bulletin 23 May 2018 - Celebrate What's Right with the world

It is often too easy to focus on what is not so right with the world; possibly with our jobs, the government, education, people, environment, relationships – the list goes on…

But how often do we stop, focus on, and put our energy into what is right, and what is good?

For the past few years at Bakewell we have explicitly taught our children about having a ‘growth mindset’, and applying this to learning. Having a growth mindset and focussing on what is good and right in the world and in our lives, are very similar concepts. If we focus on what we can do, and we focus on what is good and right then it gives us the mindset and energy to seek ways to improve, to take on new challenges and to stay ‘positive’.
